Resolution relative to the return of 2006 CDBG funding to Milwaukee Alliance for the activity of Community Prosecution and awarding the funds to Southside Organizing Committee.

Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on November 15, 2005 approved the 2006 CDBG funding to Milwaukee Alliance for the activity of Community Prosecution (6th Police District Area) in the amount of $122,500; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Alliance notified the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) that they were withdrawing their proposal to operate the Southside Community Prosecution unit (see Attachment A); and

Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee recommends approval to accept the return of $122,500 from Milwaukee Alliance, and award the 2006 CDBG funding to the Southside Organizing Committee as Service Provider for the activity of Community Prosecution; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby approves the return of CDBG funding in the amount of $122,500 and award the funding to the Southside Organizing Committee; and, be it

Further Resolved, That CDGA is responsible for awarding a subrecipient contract for this approved activities; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the subrecipient organizations shall submit budget and activity reports in amounts and according to any conditions approved by the Common Council and in accordance with File Number 74-92-5v, to the Community Development Grants Administration and the City Comptroller for review and approval; and, be it

Further Resolved, That payments for CDBG cost incurred shall be paid in accordance with approved CDBG reimbursement policy based on the approval by the Community Development Grants Administration and the City Comptroller; and, be it
