This resolution amends certain procedures relating to community development block grant allocations in light of the Common Council action to abolish the Community Development Policy Committee and assign its duties to a standing committee of the Common Council, the Community Development Committee, subject to appropriate Common Council review and approval.
Body
Whereas, In light of Common Council action taken on June 1, 2000 to abolish the Community Development Policy Committee (File Number 000024) and to create a new Common Council committee, the Community Development Committee (File Number 000026), it is necessary to amend File Number 970385, resolution relating to community development block grant allocation procedures, adopted July 25, 1997; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that File Number 970385, is amended by deleting the text of the 6th, 8th and 9th "Further Resolved" clauses and inserting in lieu thereof the following;

(6) "Further Resolved, That the strategic issues and outcomes corresponding to the allocations of funding for the 17 NSP areas, for Mandated/Essential Services, for City strategic objectives, for Administration and for non-NSP Targeted Area activity be approved by the Common Council; and, be it

(8) Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is authorized to prepare and submit the revised Consolidated Plan and the Annual Action Plan for community development funding to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with the City's Strategic Plan and the Neighborhood Strategic Plans approved by the Common Council; and, be it

(9) Further Resolved, That the revised Consolidated Plan and funding amounts awarded to service providers be approved...
