Title

Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development and the Department of Public Works to:

1. Continue marketing for the leasing and use of commercial space located at 1118 North 4th Street in the City-owned 4th and Highland parking structure until a suitable use of this commercial space that is consistent with the City’s development goals is identified.

2. Provide periodic updates of their marketing efforts to the Public Works Committee as requested by the Chair of the Committee.

Body
Whereas, On December 17, 2013, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 131207, directing the Department of City Development and the Department of Public Works to continue marketing for the leasing and use of commercial space located at 1118 North 4th Street in the City-owned 4th and Highland parking structure for 60 days following the adoption of that file and to submit a report of the marketing efforts and results to the Common Council; and

Whereas, It is of utmost importance that the Common Council be apprised of these marketing efforts on a regular basis; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 131207, adopted on December 17, 2013, is amended by deleting the “Resolved” and “Further Resolved” clauses and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development and the Department of Public Works are directed to continue marketing space located at 1118 North 4th Street in the City-owned 4th and Highland parking structure until a suitable use for this commercial ...
