Analysis
Currently, the division of budget and policy has responsibility for providing city intergovernmental relations services per adoption of the 2004 city budget. This ordinance assigns such responsibility to the recreated division of intergovernmental relations.
Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do
ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 304-24-5-d of the code is amended to read:

304-24. Contributions Received by the City.

5. APPROPRIATION AND EXPENDITURE OF CONTRIBUTION FUNDS.

d. Expenditure of contribution funds must be for the purpose or purposes specified by the donor. Expenditure for a different purpose shall require approval of the donor and acceptance by the common council, relevant common council committee or the department of administration-budget and [[policy] >>management<< division, as appropriate.

Part 2. Section 304-24-7-a of the code is amended to read:

7. DOCUMENTATION. a. When contributions are deposited in a trust account, the affected department shall prepare a plan for expenditure of the funds within one year of their receipt. This plan shall be submitted to the department of administration-budget and [[policy]] >>management<< division, with a copy provided to the city comptroller.

Part 3. Section 304-81-7-d-2 of the code is amended to read:

304-81. Grant Projects and Programs.

7. BUDGET MODIFICATIONS AND COSTS OVERRUNS AND DISALLOWED COSTS.
