Body
Whereas, The law firms of Eggert & Cermele, S.C., and Fuchs, DeStefanis & Boyle, S.C., successfully represented the plaintiffs in a wage suit brought under Wis. Stat. Ch. 109 (Milwaukee County Circuit Court Case No. 02-CV-009910; Wisconsin Court of Appeals Case No. 03-3081); and
Whereas, The plaintiffs ultimately prevailed in that suit and are entitled under Ch. 109, Stats., and the decision to their reasonable attorneys' fees; and
Whereas, The City Attorney's Office has reviewed the fees submitted by the two law firms and agrees that, after reductions, the fee amounts now submitted are reasonable in the following amounts: Eggert & Cermele, S.C., $67,202.80; Fuchs, DeStefanis & Boyle, S.C., $11,034.25; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $67,202.80 to Eggert & Cermele, S.C., and a City check in the amount of $11,034.25 to Fuchs, DeStefanis & Boyle, S.C., in full and final payment of attorneys' fees owed to these two firms; said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Account - 636506 - Fund No. 0001 - Organization 1490 - Program 2631 - Sub Class S118.
