Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement that is less than three years old.

Body

Whereas, Teleport Communications Group/AT&T Local Services wishes to install a conduit to connect two manholes at 803 West Michigan Street; and

Whereas, An open cut method of installation is required in West Michigan Street; and

Whereas, This open cut will effect pavement less than three years old and subject to a pavement guarantee; and

Whereas, This work is necessitated at this time to complete a communication network for a new customer and this work could not have been foreseen prior to the paving; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit to allow the installation of conduit in the guaranteed pavement in West Michigan Street; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration of the affected street shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City Of Milwaukee and at no cost to the city.
