Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File Number 221607, relative to the COVID-19 Phylodynamics grant. The purpose of the grant is conducting genomic sequencing of COVID-19 in key populations as part of a multi-state collaborative research effort.

Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 221607 authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund a COVID-19 Phylodynamics grant from the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the purpose of conducting genomic sequencing of COVID-19 in key populations as part of a multi-state collaborative research effort. This grant provided for a grantor share total of $388,870 and a City share total of $0; and

Whereas, the Grantor share for this program is increased by $388,870, and total cost is increased by $388,870; and

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2022 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled COVID-19 Phylodynamics:
