Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to JP Cullen allowing them to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of North 1^st Street between the east-west alley south of East Vine Street and Pleasant Street.

Body

Whereas, JP Cullen has been contracted for construction services at 100 East Pleasant Street; and

Whereas, JP Cullen has requested to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of North 1^st Street between the east-west alley south of East Vine Street and Pleasant Street beginning September 28, 2017 through December 27, 2017; and

Whereas, The western sidewalk of North 1^st Street will remain open to pedestrian traffic for the duration of the permitted closure; and

Whereas, JP Cullen will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to JP Cullen allowing them to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of North 1^st Street between the east-west alley south of East Vine Street and Pleasant Street beginning September 28, 2017 through December 27, 2017.
