Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Third Amendment between the City of Milwaukee and the Kohn Law Firm to the contract for collection of receivables for the City of Milwaukee.
Body
Whereas, The Kohn Law Firm entered into a collection services agreement dated January 7, 2002; and
Whereas, The parties amended the fee provisions of the collection services agreement to provide fees to make the pilot program permanent for collection of delinquent real estate taxes for current and future tax year levies pursuant to In Personam action; and
Whereas, The amendment to the agreement between the parties approved by Common Council Resolution File No. 021206, adopted on December 20, 2002 and the Amendment to Collection Services for Receivables of the City of Milwaukee dated July 7, 2002, executed on January 27, 2003, has created confusion between the parties as to the fees to be charged, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Kohn Law Firm, a copy of which is attached to the file, be and hereby is approved and the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
