Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of North Lake Drive from East Newberry Boulevard to East Edgewood Avenue. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 100 percent Federal and State aid for construction of the project and 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated project cost is $5,786,500 of which $812,635 is the City of Milwaukee’s share and $4,973,865 is the grantor share. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $701,500 with an estimated City share of $175,375 and a grantor share of $526,125.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of North Lake Drive (STH 32) from East Newberry Boulevard to East Edgewood Avenue with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and
