This resolution would extend the Public Outdoor Recreation Plan for the City of Milwaukee Neighborhoods 1994 - 1998 through the year 2000.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council on July 15, 1994 adopted the Public Outdoor Recreation Plan for the City of Milwaukee Neighborhoods 1994 - 1998; and
Whereas, A number of projects contained in that plan have not been completed and are currently programmed in 1999 and 2000; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works, the Department of City Development, and the Department of Schools and Community Services of the Milwaukee Public Schools, who are responsible for the development of the Public Outdoor Recreation Plan for the City of Milwaukee Neighborhoods, desire additional time to further evaluate the City of Milwaukee's recreational facilities; and
Whereas, Adoption of a recreational facilities plan is a prerequisite for receiving State and Federal recreation financial aid; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Public Outdoor Recreation Plan for the City of Milwaukee Neighborhoods 1994 - 1998 is hereby extended through the year 2000.
