Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Health Department, Library, Police Department, Department of Public Works - Water Works

Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Health Department”, amend footnote “(O)” to read as follows:

“(O) To expire 06/30/18 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”

Under “Library, Branch Library Services Decision Unit, Branch Library Services Pool”, delete two positions of “Librarian Intern” and add two positions of “Librarian Associate”.

Under “Central Library Decision Unit, Central Library Services Bureau”, delete two positions of “Librarian Intern” and add two positions of “Librarian Associate”.

Under “Police Department, Technical Communications Division”, delete two positions of “Police Alarm Operator (G)” and add two positions of “Emergency Communications Operator II (G)”.

Under “Investigations & Intelligence Bureau, Intelligence Fusion Center”, delete one position of “Forensic Technician (W)” and add designation “(W)” to the position of “Forensic Ballistics Specialist (W)”.

Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2017 - July 16, 2017):

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Distribution Organization, Field Operations”, delete one position of “Machinist” and add one position of “Machinist I”.
