Analysis
New Covenant Housing Corporation, Inc., 3501-3511 West North Avenue, petitioned the City of Milwaukee to vacate the east leg of the east-west alley located in the block bounded by West Garfield Avenue, West North Avenue, North 35th Street and North 36th Street. The alley vacation was approved with the adoption of Common Council Resolution File Number 021421 on May 13, 2003. A portion of an existing communications manhole is now located within the far easterly limit of the vacated alley toward North 35th Street. As part of the vacation conditions, the property owner has agreed to grant an easement to the City to allow the existing conduit and manhole to remain in place within the vacation limits of the alley and to allow for future maintenance and repairs of the facility. This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute an easement with New Covenant Housing Corporation, Inc.

Whereas, New Covenant Housing Corporation, Inc. requested that the easterly leg of the alley in the block bounded by West Garfield Avenue, West North Avenue, North 35th Street and North 36th Street be vacated to support their site development; and
