Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 001016 on November 28, 2000, approving a 5-year lease agreement with Voicestream Wireless for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the fire station at 5600 W. Oklahoma Avenue; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration has been working with the Fire and Police Departments and the City Attorney's Office to negotiate an amendment extending the lease agreement; and
Whereas, This agreement provides a 5-year extension of the lease agreement between the City and Voicestream Wireless for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the fire station at 5600 W. Oklahoma Avenue; and
Whereas, The lease agreement offers a fair market value to the City, protects other City interests, and is acceptable to all City participants; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Voicestream Wireless for the placement of personal communications services antennas at the fire station at 5600 W. Oklahoma Avenue, a copy of which is attached to this file, and authorizes the proper City officials to enter into said lease agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
