Title
Resolution authorizing a sidewalk replacement project in the Ninth Aldermanic District. (Infrastructure Services Division)
Analysis
To provide the necessary authority for sidewalk repairs in the Ninth Aldermanic District.
Body
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and
Whereas, It is proposed that sidewalk replacement work be done in the following locations at the indicated cost:
Area bounded by Chicago and Northwestern Railroad right-of-way, North 60th Street, West Mill Road, North 43rd Street, Northerly City Limits and Easterly City Limits in the Ninth Aldermanic District ST230030115.
Whereas, Funds have been encumbered and thus set aside for the proposed public improvement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to do the above described sidewalk replacement work and the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $127,000 from Account No. 0333-4926-ST230030000 and $308,000 from Account No.
0330-4926 ST230030000 which is available for Subaccounts; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting properties, and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
