Body
Whereas, The Granville Blues Festival is a large outdoor summer blues festival in the Granville Improvement District in the 9th Aldermanic District; and
Whereas, For the past six years, the Granville Blues Festival has attracted guests from around Milwaukee and elsewhere with a wide array of blues artists and bands, while offering festival patrons food and other vendor options; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council designates the Granville Blues Festival to be an official City event; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all City departments are directed to assist as necessary to make the Granville Blues Festival successful; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Office of the Common Council-City Clerk is authorized to accept up to $100,000 of contributions for the Granville Blues Festival event and to expend such funds for this purpose or any purpose specified by the contribution in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Common Council - City Clerk’s budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-006300-D001, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-009850, to the Common Council-City Clerk’s Special Ac...
