BODY:
Whereas, On December 4, 1998 a motor vehicle operated by Donald A. Damaske was proceeding westbound on West Villard Avenue, swerved to avoid a vehicle northbound on North 60th Street that failed to stop for the red light, and struck a light pole and traffic control box, causing damage in the amount of $9,665.44; and
Whereas, The vehicle failing to stop for the red light left the accident scene and could not be identified by a witness; and
Whereas, The invoice was referred for collection to the Kohn Law Firm, who after investigation, obtained a settlement offer of $1,933.09 from Farmers Insurance, the insurer of Donald A. Damaske, now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of Public Works Invoice No. 72034 billed to Donald A. Damaske be and hereby is cancelled in the amount of $7,732.35.
