This resolution authorizes the execution of agreements for wholesale water service to the Villages of Greendale and Shorewood.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council Resolution File No. 940089 authorized the Milwaukee Water Works to renew long term agreements for wholesale, retail and stand-by emergency water service with seven suburbs plus Milwaukee County; and
Whereas, The Villages of Greendale and Shorewood have authorized their respective Village officials to execute the wholesale water service agreements, and submitted them to the City of Milwaukee for signature by the Mayor, City Clerk and City Comptroller; and
Whereas, The terms of the wholesale water service agreements have been standardized by the City Attorney and patterned after the agreement with the City of West Allis and provide for water service to the suburban community under rates approved by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officials are hereby directed to execute these agreements, and the Water Works is directed to file a copy of the executed agreements with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
