This resolution authorizes the sale of part of a vacant, tax deed lot owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, City vacant lots on this portion of a proposed North 57th Street were held for continuation of North 57th Street to meet West Green Tree Road; and
Whereas, This proposed street is no longer viable and many of the City lots have already been sold to the adjoining owners on North 58th Street; and
Whereas, The adjoining owner, William J. Hibl, with his property located at 6750 North 58th Street, has offered to purchase part of the vacant, tax deed lot located at 6751 North 57th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 139-9957-210-8, containing approximately 6,130 square feet for the amount of $300 for use as green space; and
Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot (part) is being sold in an "as is" condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said vacant lot is declared surplus, said Offer is accepted, and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700.
