Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Beach Monitoring Grant. (Health Department)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Beach Monitoring Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in the amount of $22,019. The purpose of the project is implement bacterial monitoring of Wisconsin public beaches.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to implement bacterial monitoring of Wisconsin public beaches; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 05/01/03 to 09/30/03 would cost $22,019 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2003 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amounts for the project titled Beach Monitoring Grant:
