Minutes note: BY ALD. GORDON--- by recommending approval of said motion. THE CLERK swore in the the Court Reporter. NONRENEWAL OF THE CLASS "A" MALT LICENSE OF ABDULHHAKIM N. AZZAM FOR THE PREMISES AT 510 W. VINE STREET, "PENNY SAVER FOODS" (6TH ALD. DIST.) RENEWAL WITH A 30-DAY SUSPENSION OF THE CLASS "B" TAVERN LICENSE OF LYDIA A. PAGAN FOR THE PREMISES AT 1201 S. 21ST STREEET, "LYDIA'S LOUNGE" (12TH ALD. DIST.) NONRENEWAL OF THE CLASS "D" BARTENDER RENEWAL LICENSE OF FRANK L. GRIMALDO. NONRENEWAL OF THE CLASS "D" BARTENDER RENEWAL LICENSE OF KRISTOPHER J. PURZYCKI. THE CHAIR questioned whether all members of the Common Council present at the meeting had read the report and recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee and written exceptions, if filed, relative to the foregoing recommendations. A roll call vote showed the following results: Ayes: 17 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz. Noes: 0. Excused: 0. ALD. WITKOWIAK moved to refer the Class "D" Bartenders' application of Frank Grimaldo back to the Utilities and Licenses Committee. Ayes: 9 - Ald. Pratt, Henningsen, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Hines and President Kalwitz. Noes: 7 - Ald. D'Amato, Schramm, Johnson-Odom, Butler, Scherbert, Breier and Murphy. Excused: 1 - Nardelli. THE CHAIR questioned whether Abdulhakim N. Azzam, Lydia A. Pagan, Frank L. Grimaldo, Kristopher J. Purzycki -- or their counsel were present. Abdulhakim N. Azzzam and his Counsel were present. ALD. SCHRAMM moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from the applicant's attorney and Assistant City Attorney. PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Attorney Dominic Frinzi and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the Committee relative to the foregoing matter. ALD. Butler moved that the Committee do now rise. ALD. GORDON moved to refer this matter back to Committee. The motion prevailed. Ayes: 11 - Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Schramm, Gordon, Richards, Butler, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz. Noes: 6 - Ald. Johnson-Odom, Frank, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski and Breier. Lydia Pagan's attorney Blanca Ramirez was present. Neithr Kristopher J. Purzycki nor his attorney was present. ALD.
