Section 297-75 of the code regulates off-street parking. This ordinance provides that all parking spaces be a minimum of 8 feet wide.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-75-10 is amended to read:
295-75. Parking standards.
10. AREA. Parking spaces shall >>be a minimum of 8 feet wide and<< contain at least 160 square feet exclusive of drives, lanes or aisles, except that spaces designated for compact cars shall contain at least 120 square feet and be provided with an unobstructed access lane thereto from a public street, alley or other open space approved by the commissioner. At least 50% of >>the required<< parking spaces in a parking area shall meet the 160 square feet requirement.
