This resolution authorizes the Municipal Court to apply for, accept and fund a Driver History Initiative Project grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) in the amount of $78,750 with a city share of $0 and a grantor share of $78,750. The purpose of the project is to cover the cost to the Municipal Court of the development and programming effort to support the WDOT information system for receiving court orders electronically.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT) to cover the cost to Municipal Court of the development and programming effort to support the WDOT information system for receiving court orders electronically; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant from 1/1/99 to 12/31/99 would cost $78,750, of which $0 (0%) would be provided by the city and $78,750 (100%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the application to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is authorized and the Municipal Court shall accept this grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in s. 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the project/grant parent-Special Revenue Grant and Aid Project Fund, the following amounts for the program/project titled the Driver History Initiative Project:
