Title
Substitute resolution establishing the 2026 Snow and Ice Removal Cost Recovery Charge.
Analysis
In accordance with s. 309-83 of the Code of Ordinances, this resolution establishes the 2026 Snow and Ice Removal Cost Recovery Charge at $1.19 per foot of street frontage. For residential property owners with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the City will use the shortest side to calculate the charge. For non-residential property owners, the City will use total street frontage.

Whereas, Section 309-83 of the Code of Ordinances establishes a Snow and Ice Removal Cost Recovery Charge as authorized by s. 66.0627, Wis. Stats.; and
Whereas, Section 309-83 of the Code requires adoption of a resolution on an annual basis that establishes the snow and ice removal cost recovery charge; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2026 annual snow and ice removal cost recovery charge, to be billed on a yearly basis, is established as follows:
1. Residential property: $1.19 per foot of street frontage. For residential property (one-, 2-, 3-, and 4-family dwelling units) with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the shortest side shall be used for billing purposes.
2. Nonresidential property: $1.19 per foot of total street frontage.
