Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement less than three years old in the 1300 block of South 3rd Street for the purpose of installing, at no cost to the City, fiber optic cable.
ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue an excavation permit on pavement that is less than three years old.
BODY:
Whereas, Ameritech wishes to install a new access pit for an underground conduit to install fiber optic cable to the Allen Bradley Corporation at 1201 South 2nd Street; and
Whereas, An open cut method of installation is required in South 3rd Street; and
Whereas, This open cut will affect pavement less than three years old and subject to a pavement guarantee; and
Whereas, Ameritech desires to install this cable prior to the expiration of the pavement guarantee date; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to issue an excavation permit to allow the installation of fiber optic cable in the guaranteed pavement in South 3rd Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the pavement restoration of the affected street shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and restrictions established by the Department of Public Works of the City of Milwaukee and at no cost to the City.
