This resolution grants permission to James M. Shaughnessy d/b/a Coffee Casa Gourmets, for a sidewalk cafe' adjacent to the premises at 735-43 North Water Street.


BODY:
Whereas, The applicant desires to place 3-foot 6-inch wide tables with chairs thereby establishing a sidewalk cafe' area in the public right-of-way on the west side of North Water Street adjacent to the indoor cafe' at 735-43 North Water Street known as Coffee Casa Gourmets; and

Whereas, Placement of these items within the public right-of-way can only be allowed through the adoption of a special privilege resolution by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that James M. Shaughnessy d/b/a Coffee Casa Gourmets, 735 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202, is hereby granted the following special privilege:

To establish and maintain a sidewalk cafe' area within the west sidewalk area of North Water Street adjacent to the premises at 735-43 North Water Street. Said cafe' area shall be limited to occupy an area extending a maximum distance of 3-feet 6-inches into the 12-foot wide fully paved public sidewalk area and occupy space approximately 10 feet in

length. Said area shall begin at a point approximately 50 feet south of the southline of East Mason Street and extend to the south.

Said tables and chairs shall be removed from the public right-of-way during nonbusiness hours. No business transactions shall take place within the public right-of-way.

The area about the sidewalk cafe' shall be kept clean by the restaurant personnel to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Public Works, Building Inspection and ...
