Title
Substitute resolution establishing the 2002 snow and ice removal cost recovery charge.
Analysis
This resolution establishes the 2002 Snow and Ice Removal Cost Recovery Charge in accordance with s.309-83 of the Milwaukee Code. The charge is $0.2736 per foot of street frontage. For residential property owners with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the City will use the shortest side to calculate the charge. For non-residential property owners, the City will use total street frontage.

Whereas, Section 309-83 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances established a Snow and Ice Removal Cost Recovery Charge as authorized by s.66.0627, Wis. Stats.; and
Whereas, Section 309-83 of the Milwaukee Code requires adoption of a resolution on an annual basis that establishes the snow and ice removal cost recovery charge; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2002 annual snow and ice removal cost recovery charge is established in accordance with s.309-83 of the Code, to be billed on a quarterly basis:
1. Residential property - $0.2736 per foot of street frontage. For residential property with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the shortest side shall be used for billing purposes.
2. Nonresidential property - $0.2736 per foot of total street frontage.
