Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to accept deposit monies from Gorman & Company, Inc., the developer, to cover the cost of preliminary engineering and design services for public improvements to serve a residential development to be located south of West Bradley Road and east of North 107th Street. - ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes acceptance of $6,000 from a prospective developer to cover the cost of engineering and design services for public improvements needed for a proposed residential development.
BODY:
Whereas, Gorman & Company, Inc. desires to enter into an out-of-program agreement with the City of Milwaukee to provide for installation of public improvements to serve a residential development; and
Whereas, The out-of-program agreement for this development has not yet been prepared for approval; and
Whereas, The developer wishes to expedite preliminary engineering for the preparation of plans and cost estimates for the proposed public improvements; and
Whereas, The developer is willing to deposit the necessary amount of money $6,000 to cover these preliminary engineering costs; and
Whereas, The proposed preliminary engineering work will be at no cost to the City of Milwaukee; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to accept from the developer deposit monies sufficient to cover the costs of preliminary engineering for public improvements related to a proposed residential development to be located south of West Bradley Road and east of North 107th Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Commissioner is authorized to undertake the necessary preliminary engineering.
