Analysis
This resolution will result in the sale of a surplus, vacant, tax-deed lot.
Body
Whereas, Mildred M. Roberts and Kevin L. Roberts, with their adjoining property located at 1426 South 23rd Street have offered $500 to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot at 1422 South 23rd Street, Tax Key No. 459-0203-3, for use as green space; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends acceptance of said offer contingent upon closing within 45 days from the date of adoption of this resolution; and
Whereas, Sale of said lot is in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said lot is declared surplus, that said offer from Mildred M. Roberts and Kevin L. Roberts is accepted, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution, and that the proceeds from the sale, less a 20 percent disposition cost reimbursement to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
