- ANALYSIS - This resolution allows the Commissioner of Public Works to accept funds from the developer of the planned Cherokee Point residential project to cover the cost of preparing plans for the project's public improvements.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, Toldt Development, Inc., desires to enter into an Out-of-Program Agreement with the City of Milwaukee to provide for the installation of various public improvements to serve the development known as Cherokee Point; and
 
Whereas, The Out-of-Program Agreement for this development has not yet been prepared; and
 
Whereas, The developer wishes to expedite the preliminary design engineering for the project's public improvements; and
 
Whereas, The developer is willing to deposit the necessary amount of money to cover the preliminary engineering costs; and
 
Whereas, The proposed preliminary design engineering work will be at no expense to the City of Milwaukee; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to accept from the developer funds sufficient to cover the cost of, and to proceed with preliminary design engineering for, plans and cost estimates for the necessary public improvements to serve the proposed Cherokee Point residential development.
