Resolution amending Common Council File 951518 which authorized the Milwaukee Public Library (MPL) to apply for, accept and fund the Major Urban Resource Library Grant from the State of Wisconsin, Department of Public Instruction, for the purpose of purchasing various library materials. (Library)
BODY:
Whereas, This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $73,000 and a City share total of $12,000; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $16,310; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin, Department of Public Instruction, is authorized and the MPL shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1997 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount(s) for the project titled Major Urban Resource Library Grant: .nf
Account No. Account Amount 15-010-0100 Grantor Share $16,310 15-010-0101 In-kind City Share $ -0- 15-010-0102 Out-of-Pocket City Share $ -0- (Current Levy) .fi
; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the MPL which is authorized to:
1) Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date; and
2) Expend from the 1997 grant budget funds for specific items of equipment; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses in Common Council File 951518 remain applicable.
