Analysis
This resolution provides for a three-month extension to a contract between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee County Cooperative Extension for the services of a Foreclosure Partnership Manager and increases the contract amount by $15,000.
Body
Whereas, File No. 080885, adopted by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee on October 29, 2008, authorized the City of Milwaukee ("City") to enter into a contract with the Milwaukee County Cooperative Extension ("MCCE") to provide the services of a Foreclosure Partnership Manager to assist the City in carrying out initiatives under the federally-funded Neighborhood Stabilization Program ("NSP"); and

Whereas, Under the terms of the contract, MCCE’s services include staffing, planning, data collection, legal expertise and community education and outreach services to support grant activities; and

Whereas, File No. 080885 authorized an 18-month contract, providing payment of $5,000 per month, for a total of $90,000; and

Whereas, The contract provided for a three-month extension by mutual consent of the City and MCCE; and

Whereas, The services provided to the City have been satisfactory; and

Whereas, The City and MCCE are desirous of entering into a three-month extension at the current rate of $5,000 per month; now, therefore, be it
