-ANALYSIS-

To provide the necessary authority to extend an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Village of Brown Deer relating to maintenance of streets forming common boundary lines.

BODY:
Whereas, There are certain streets which form a common boundary line between the City of Milwaukee and the Village of Brown Deer; and,

Whereas, Said agreement provides that the City of Milwaukee maintain the following highways:

- West Bradley Road from North 60th Street to North 68th Street

- North 51st Street from West Calumet Road to West Good Hope Road

- West Calumet Road from North 43rd Street to Brown Deer Park; and,

Whereas, said agreement further provides that the Village of Brown Deer maintain the following highways:

- West Bradley Road from North 51st Street to North 60th Street

- North 51st Street from West Bradley Road to West Calumet Road

- West Bradley Road from North Green Bay Road to a point east of North 38th Street; and,

Whereas, The division of the maintenance of the pavement upon these streets and roads is necessary to prevent continual problems for the motorist and minimize City liability; and,

Whereas, Section 66.30 Wisconsin Statutes, 1971, authorizes municipalities to contract for the receipt or furnishing of services or joint exercise of any power or duty required or authorized by statute; and,

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and the Village of Brown Deer have satisfactorily maintained said streets under a formal agreement for 35 consecutive years pursuant to resolutions under File No. 62-2619, adopted January 8...
