Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, procurement, and construction of Street Lighting Improvements at Various Locations City Wide. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 80 percent Federal and State aid and 20 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $600,125 with an estimated City share of $124,025 and a grantor share of $476,100.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of Street Lighting Improvements at Various Locations City Wide with Federal aid under the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP); and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and
