Body
Whereas, Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, a nonprofit organization, located at 3132 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive has offered $1 to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lot at 3201-03 North 3rd Street, Tax Key No. 282-1604-9, which is across the street from their church for development of a play lot for children; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development ("DCD") recommends acceptance of this Offer contingent upon site plan approval by DCD's Development Center and completion of improvements within two months from date of plan approval; and
Whereas, DCD recommends sale in an "as is" condition without representations or warranties including but not limited to soil quality and subsurface condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has determined that said lot is surplus to municipal needs; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lot is declared surplus; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Offer to Purchase from Ebenezer Church of God in Christ is accepted and that the Commissioner of DCD, or assigns, is authorized and directed to perform such acts as necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution with the proceeds from sale being credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
