This resolution amends Common Council File Number 230318 accepting and funding the 2023 Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Breast Feeding Peer Counseling grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 230318 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2023 Women, Infants and Children’s (WIC) Breast Feeding Peer Counseling grant for the purpose of providing support and education for new mothers about breastfeeding. This grant provided for a grantor share total of $129,560 and a city share total of $0; and
Whereas, the Grantor Share for this program is increased by $26,445, the in-kind/out-of-pocket City share is increased by $0, and total cost is increased by $26,445; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2023 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Women, Infants and Children’s (WIC) Breastfeeding Peer Counseling:
