ANLS:
Analysis This resolution would approve Termination of Lease Agreement with Miller Compressing Company.
BODY:
Whereas, Miller Compressing Company's lease will expire on 30 April 1997; and
Whereas, Due to environmental remediation considerations, Miller will have some responsibilities for clean up of the site, which will continue well after the 30 April 1997 date and therefore an easement is necessary to allow Miller to access the property after the lease expiration date; and
Whereas, The Port, in conjunction with the City Attorney's Office and the City Environmental Policy Coordinator has drafted a Lease Termination Agreement which encompasses the necessary steps for remediation of the site; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Lease Termination Agreement between the City, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners, and Miller Compressing Company; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and of said Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose as prepared by the City Attorney's office.
