Analysis

This ordinance increases the accrual of vacation time earned per pay period for non-civilian management employees of the fire department in active service during a fiscal year and whose normal hours of work average 40 hour per week.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 350-40-15-b-3-a to d of the code is amended to read:

 

350-40. Vacations.

15. POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS.

b-3. Time Earned per [[Week]] >>Pay Period<<: Noncivilian Management.

b-3-a. [[3.4]] >>3.7<< hours per pay period for employees who have completed fewer than [[6]] >>4<< years of active service.

b-3-b.  [[5]] >>5.3<< hours per pay period for employees who have completed [[6]] >>4<< but fewer than [[11]] >>9<< years of active service.

b-3-c. [[6.5]] >>6.8<< hours per pay period for employees who have completed [[11]] >>9<< but fewer than [[19]] >>14<< years of active service.

b-3-d. [[8]] >>8.4<< hours per pay period for employees who have completed [[19 or more]] >>14 but fewer than 21<< years of active service.

 

Part 2. Section 350-40-15-b-3-e of the code is created to read:

 

b-3-e. 9.9 hours per pay period for employees who have completed at least 21 years of active service.
