Analysis
This resolution will cancel Sanitation charges billed and paid by the owners of an apartment building.
BODY:
Whereas, Sanitation collection charges were billed and paid against parcels of real estate in 1998, and
Whereas, Ordinance 79-2 requires the Sanitation Division to charge for garbage collections at apartment buildings of five or more units beginning January, 1998; and
Whereas, The Sanitation Division had misidentified this building as an eight unit building when it is only a four unit building; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper city officers are authorized and directed to cancel and refund the Sanitation collection charges by issuing a city check to the possessor of the paid Sanitation collection bill for Tax Key Number as follows:
526-0216-000 (also known as 3301 S. 84th St.) for six quarterly payments totaling $986.04 and the amount in this resolution is to be charged to Fund Number 001 Org 5650 Prog 0001 Account 009400.
