BODY:
Whereas, A resolution directing a report on the proposed vacation was presented to the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee by the City of Milwaukee on the 21st day of March, 1997 for the vacation of the Northeast-Southwest alley in the block East of South 57th Street between West Forest Home Avenue and West Morgan Avenue, in the 11th Aldermanic District; and
Whereas, A resolution directing a report on the proposed vacation was passed by the Common Council on May 13, 1997 under File No. 961938; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the fee of $218 otherwise required to be paid to the City Treasurer is waived and that the City Treasurer is authorized to waive said fee pursuant to Ordinance 234 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, passed July 11, 1961; and, be it
Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the following described Northeast-Southwest alley in the block East of South 57th Street between West Forest Home Avenue and West Morgan Avenue, described as follows:
All of the 10-foot wide alley as platted in Block 6 of Loewenbach Heights No. 2, a recorded subdivison, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, lying between the East line of South 57th Street extended and the East line of said subdivision is vacated for the reason that it provides no public utility and it is in the public interest to be vacated; and, be it
Further Resolved, That as provided by Section 80.32(4) of the Wisconsin Statutes, such vacation shall not terminate the easements and rights incidental thereto acquired by or belonging to...
