This resolution authorizes the sale of two vacant, tax deed lots by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, The adjoining owner, Richard A. Wiegand, with his property located at 2227 West Wisconsin Avenue, has submitted an unsolicited Offer to Purchase the vacant, tax deed lots located at 626 and 628-30 North 23rd Street, Tax Roll Key Nos. 400-0507-9 and 400-0506-3, containing a combined total of 4,752 square feet for the amount of $4,752 for use as parking; and

Whereas, These vacant, tax deed lots will be combined with Mr. Wiegand's vacant lot located at 2227 West Wisconsin Avenue and will be used as a parking lot; and

Whereas, All plans for the use of this parcel must be approved by the Department of City Development; and

Whereas, Any parking use must be approved by the Department of Building Inspection; and

Whereas, Mr. Weigand has been informed that no vehicle access to Wisconsin Avenue will be permitted; and

Whereas, These vacant, tax deed lots are being sold in "as is" condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said property to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed property pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Offer is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lots and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No...
