Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable.  After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council.

Body

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

 

3rd Aldermanic District

 

N. 1st St. (Vacated) (SE-2451) - E. Vine St. to E. Ship St. (Vacated) (SM495050049):  Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000)

 

4th Aldermanic District

 

Marquette Interchange - Clybourn Advance Contract (SW170050107):  Installing new sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $5,000, additional funds)  File Number 041349 authorized $7,700; total estimate is $12,700.

 

11th Aldermanic District

 

W. Morgan Ave. (Various Locations) - The Kinnickinnic River to S. 35th St. (SM495050048):  Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $36,000)

 

; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
