Analysis

This ordinance repeals city code provisions relating to the advertising of tobacco products.  Based on the U. S. Supreme Court decision in Lorillard v. Reilly, the city attorney opines that the city's prohibition of advertising of tobacco products is not enforceable.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 244-20 of the code is repealed.
