Substitute resolution authorizing the submittal and acceptance for funding of the City of Milwaukee's 2005 consolidated community development entitlement funding for the American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Block Grant Administration (CBGA).
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Community Block Grant Administration to accept the ADDI grant funding in the amount of $369,000 for 2005 consistent with its Consolidated Plan to be submitted to and approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and authorizes the Community Block Grant Administration to execute and implement ADDI projects.
BODY
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for Community Development entitlement funding for the ADDI activity in the amount of $369,000 for 2005; and

Whereas, The Consolidated Plan to be submitted to and approved by the Housing Urban Develpment authorizes the 2005 consolidated community development entitlement funding and CCFN 040341 adopted on July 27, 2004 authorizes the 2005 funding procedure; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the Mayor of the City of Milwaukee is designated as the authorized representative of the City of Milwaukee, in connection with all matters relating to the City's 2005 ADDI Program; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee assures and certifies that it will comply with the regulations, policies, guidelines and requirements with respect to the acceptance and use of Federal ADDI funds as specifically delineated in the Grant Award; and, be it

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to HUD is authorized and the Community Block Grant Administration shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant ch...
