Analysis

Under this ordinance, any person occupying or using any building, structure or premises without a certificate of occupancy or a certificate of zoning shall be subject to a forfeiture of not less than $1,000 nor more than $5,000.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 295-309-6 of the code is renumbered 295-309-6-a.

Part 2.  Section 295-309-6-b of the code is created to read:

295-309.  Enforcement.

6.  PENALTIES. 

b.  Any person, firm or corporation violating s. 295-303 shall be subject to a forfeiture of not less than $1,000 nor more than $5,000.
