Title
Substitute resolution relating to an annual application usage report.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Information Technology Management Division of the Department of Administration to annually report on app usage.
Body
Whereas, The Department of Administration - Information Technology Management Division develops and supports applications (apps) relating to the City's web site, mapping and geographic display of information, business applications, web applications, Map Milwaukee and web site content; and
Whereas, Publishing an annual usage report for all City-managed apps would provide policy makers with data regarding the utilization of the apps and could inform policy decisions; and
Whereas, The 2026 Budget was adopted by Common Council File Number 250001 on November 7, 2025; and
Whereas, Amendment 16 placed a footnote in the 2026 Budget directing the Information and Technology Management Division of the Department of Administration to annually report on app usage; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Administration - Information Technology Management Division is directed to issue annual app usage reports; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the first annual app usage report shall be issued within 60 days of adoption of this resolution; and, be it
Further Resolved, That subsequent annual app usage reports shall be issued in January of each year.
