Resolution approving an Amendment to Lease Agreement with Edward E. Gillen Co.

Analysis

This resolution would approve an Amendment to Lease Agreement with Edward E. Gillen for an additional 4.385 acres of land adjacent to Gillen’s leasehold of 7.615 acres of bare ground located on the Port’s Grand Trunk Property at 1980 S. Marina Drive.

Body

Whereas, Edward E. Gillen Company has been a long term tenant in good standing with the Port of Milwaukee; and

 

Whereas, Edward E. Gillen Company and the Port of Milwaukee have agreed to the Amendment to Lease Agreement commencing January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2036; and

 

Whereas, The Board of Harbor Commissioners at their meeting of August 18, 2011 acted by vote to grant such amendment; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Amendment to and Extension of Lease Agreement with Edward E. Gillen and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners for lease of 4.385 acres of land located on the Grand Trunk Property; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and said Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose.
