Title

Resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate a portion of South 44th Street from the City limits north to a point, in the 10th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said street right-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.  This vacation was requested by the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District to allow for the consolidation of land.

Body

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of South 44th Street from the City limits north to a point be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said street right-of-way in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
