ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to issue a permit to Daws Crane Company allowing occupancy of North Jackson Street between East Juneau Avenue and East State Street. Daws intends to occupy the street with a crane for approximately eight hours to lift heavy equipment onto the roof of the new Kohl's grocery store being constructed at the Juneau Village shopping center. The closure would occur after morning rush hour and would be complete prior to the evening rush hour. The proposed date is Wednesday, November 10.


BODY:
Whereas, A new Kohl's grocery store is being constructed at the Juneau Village shopping center; and

Whereas, This building is located along North Jackson Street between East Juneau Avenue and East State Street; and

Whereas, Daws Crane Company has been hired to install the heavy, rooftop equipment on the new building; and

Whereas, A crane lift will be required to place this equipment on the building's roof; and

Whereas, Given the constraints of the project site, the only practical location for the crane is in the North Jackson Street right-of-way; and

Whereas, Daws has requested a permit to occupy North Jackson Street between East Juneau Avenue and East State Street for an eight-hour period from approximately 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Wednesday, November 10; and

Whereas, Access to private driveways within the closure area will be maintained during the operation; and

Whereas, Daws will work with the Department of Public Works to establish a detailed traffic control plan that minimizes the public inconvenience associated with the street closure; and
