Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds and create the necessary accounts for the Real Estate and Railroad phases as part of the reconstruction of the West Highland Boulevard Bridge over the CP Rail tracks. The Project Agreement for the project was approved by Common Council Resolution File Number 030052 on May 13, 2003. The total Real Estate phase of this project is estimated at $75,000, of which the City's share is estimated to be $15,000. The total Railroad phase of the project is estimated at $50,000, of which the City's share is estimated to be $10,000.

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 030052, adopted May 13, 2003, authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised Project Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the programming and reconstruction of the West Highland Boulevard, CP Rail underpass; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works executed the Agreement and WISDOT subsequently authorized the Real Estate and Railroad phases; and

Whereas, WISDOT has informed us that Federal/State funding for this project is available for construction in 2005; and

Whereas, It is necessary to begin processing Real Estate and Railroad issues on this project in order to meet the scheduled 2005 construction; and
